Hi, I'm Ellie.

I am a Denver born—New York City based award winning photographer and videographer, specializing in portraiture.

While I have refined my practice over the past 15 years, photography is more than a career to me -- it really is the way in which I see the world around me, viewing life in a series of still frames. Having moved nearly every year since my early childhood, photography has always been how I hold fast to the memories and places that always feel too fleeting. I am also a hopeless romantic, and am charmed by all things love.

Photography is my shadow career, as I work full-time as a civil rights attorney. In my role as an attorney, I often help people through the worst times in life; but as a photographer, I get to help people through the best times. This alone is one of the greatest gifts I could ask for -- to be able to help others and to be present through life's waves, both good and bad.

I cherish each opportunity to meet new people and tell their stories, to revel in the beauty of each moment and capture it before it quietly dissipates.
